Once again, the ice surprises me. This image came from my arrangement of tropical flowers, but stayed in the freezer a long time before I could get back to photograph it. During that time the ice formed a swirling pattern at the top and the light in the bottom right took on the look of the northern lights. And the poppy pod(s) still looks like a planet to me, so I’m calling it Galaxy I.
There are orchids and agapanthus, bougainvillea and stephanotis from my garden, and a few brilliant orange miniature roses to add pops of color along with that protea in the center.
It’s a refreshing palette to wear in the summer and with the purples, aqua and orange, the blues and light greens…it goes with so many things, especially white linen! This piece comes in one size only, a 72 x 41 inch shawl.
