Oh Peonies! They must be considered one of the most beautiful flowers nature has created. In this square composition, the profusion of peonies, with soft lavender and bright blue delphinium, scabiosa, and a few tiny dianthus and lisianthus buds creates the perfect border for a garden, or for us to wear when we want our garden near! In classic squares of 44 and 28 inches. As always, this luscious silk is printed both sides identically. Shimmering satin that captures the light and turns the colors liquid and a soft matte finish but equally colorful side on the reverse.

the making of my scarves and textiles.

I knew that I had to make silk scarves the day I created the Pool & Larkspur photograph. The surface of the water, the aqua background…I could just see it on rippling silk! That put me on a two year journey of trial and error for various silks from multiple suppliers in several countries.

Finding the atelier in Lake Como, Italy, was the moment it all came together. They are as dedicated as I am to sustainable luxury. Of course the edges are hand sewn! Of course the silk is luminous and perfectly mirrors the colors the flowers are giving me! But we are also using sustainable practices throughout the entire process. GOTS certification, certification of non-toxic materials, inks, and finishing, along with responsible packaging and small order fulfillment all mean our environmental footprint is not harmful to our planet or to our person.
